I may use one or more of the following during a course of treatment:

Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is an induced relaxed state in which the subconscious mind is open to positive suggestion. Hypnosis is classified as a condition of intense and focused concentration with full awareness of the surroundings. It is a natural state of mind that we all experience in everyday life. For example, we may become completely engrossed in a book or a film and loose all track of time. The driver of a vehicle can arrive at his destination not remembering the route he has taken. All hypnosis does is extend the time when we are in this natural mind state enabling us to focus unhindered on our inner feelings. Hypnosis requires the full cooperation of the client and it is the client who is in control at all times. The therapist is simply facilitating the trance state. Most clients find it an extremely pleasant experience.

Hypnotherapy uses the trance state to bring about therapeutic change. Our conscious mind deals with our daily lives and how we interact with the world around us. The subconscious part deals with the running and maintenance of our bodily functions. It also measures our emotional reactions to events and stores them in our memory This combination usually serves us well but sometimes our usual ways of coping with emotional difficulties let us down. Hypnosis can provide the key to the subconscious and facilitate new ways of dealing with difficulties, change unwanted and destructive behaviour permanently and deal with any unprocessed trauma. In this state of heightened awareness you can fully access all your life experiences to deal with the root cause of problems.

Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a method of learning to think, feel and act differently. It's a preventative tool as well as an interventional one. It is useful for discovering and processing detrimental life patterns.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that combines scientific, philosophical and behavioural aspects to help individuals change the way they feel by changing the way they think.  It works on the principle that if you think healthily, you can live more productively and happily.

More and more physicians and psychiatrists are referring their patients for CBT to help them overcome a wide range of problems such as:-
